Auto shop cats are a relatively common sight, keeping rats away and keeping customers happy while they wait. But what happens when a shop has to close and the cat's living situation hangs in the balance? Well, that is the story we are going to tell here.

Shop cats are truly some of the sweetest felines around. They learn fast that in order to enjoy the benefits of the inside shop they need two things: 1. To be ultra sweet to humans and give them lots of cuddles so they give up the crunchies. 2. To be ultra fast at catching vermin to earn their keep. And this cat got straight to work when she moved into her shop. Lighting up the lives of the owners, employees and customers every single day.

But when the day came for the shop to close things took a turn for the tense as it became unclear where this cat would go. Would her new hoomans be cruel enough to leave her to the streets? Or would they be kind enough to take a risk on their lease agreement to make her their own and live happily ever after? It is a choice that would turn Sophie's head upside down but one that this couple had to make. This is their story.

Well this sure is some dedication for a cat who just decided to rock up and receive food from two different establishments. Though we kinda get it. When it comes to vying for a stray feline’s attention things can get out of hand pretty quickly if you are not careful. We are almost surprised that a cat tree was not installed. Then again being an auto shop there were likely lots of places for the cat to climb. But what will this cat loving couple do now that they are being kicked out of their shop?

These are legitimate concerns, there is no doubt about that. But sometimes, heck, pretty much all times you just have to throw caution to the wind when it comes to cats and bring them home. It is better than having mice and if you have a cat you will definitely not be having mice roaming around the apartment. As for the resident cats, that is certainly a bit of a bigger problem, what with cats being crazy territorial and all. But when there is a soul in need, should territory even factor into the decision?
